The
Top 10 Education Systems in The World
Pearson.com recently released their
report on education. This report takes a look at major factors in education.
Those factors are GDP, graduation, expenditure per student, etc. From the
result, it can be concluded which country has the best education systems. South
Korea take the first place again this year, but Finland which is well known for
its good in education fell to 5th place.
The report took 40 countries as the
sample. There are some key findings in this report as follows:
– East Asian countries continue to
surpass others. South Korea is the best in rankings, followed by japan as the
second place, Singapore (3rd place), and Hong Kong (4th). All these nations’
education systems effort better than ‘smartness’, have clear goalposts and
learning outcomes, and also have a strong culture of engagement among a broad
community of stakeholders.
– Scandinavian
nations which are traditionally strong in education, are showing signs of
losing their performs. Finland, the 2012 winner, has fallen to 5th; and Sweden
is down from 21st place to 24th.
– The
developing nations in education populate the lower half of the index. Indonesia
again ranking last of the 40 countri
